Floats and any large vehicles should arrive at 9:15 AM
Marchers and open cars assembly line time is 9:30 AM
The parade will start promptly at 10:00 AM, from Lakeshore & E 228th

ASSEMBLY:

Section One: Lakeshore and E 228th
Military, ROTC, Veterans, and Local Officials

Euclid City School Bands-> form in Sims Park.

Sections Two thru Four:    (Main Assembly Area)
Community organizations, floats, Marchers, etc.
Assemble in parking lot behind Theater and Irish-American Club.

Section Five:
All elected officals and their cars,
All individual cars, commercial cars and trucks.
Line up on Lakeshore North side facing West at 9:30am
Approach from E 232nd and Lakeshore heading WEST
Do Not Approach from E 228th or E 222nd - streets will be blocked
 

The City of Euclid's annual Memorial Day Parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. The parade route will begin at East 228th Street and Lakeshore and proceed west on Lakeshore to East 222nd Street, south on East 222nd Street and ends at Euclid City Hall. Many veterans groups, city officials, marching bands, antique cars, youth sporting teams will be participating.

Parade Rules & Regulations

1. This parade is dedicated to war veterans who have died for their country. No Private themes!

2. No overt advertising is allowed.  Sponsors may display name and greetings only.

3. No political candidacy signs. Current offices held may be identified.                                                                             No “vote for”, “elect”, or “support” signs allowed.

4. There shall be NO throwing of any type of item from vehicles to anyone.                                                                         No jumping on or off of vehicles to distribute any item to any observer.

5. If items have been approved for distribution, it should be handed to observers and bystanders by persons who are walking and who have the items in their possession, not on a vehicle. Persons distributing such materials must continue to walk alongside their own unit(s) and not intrude upon other unit’s activities or presentation space.

6. No backward motion is permitted during the line of march.

7. All units must keep pace with the units in front of them, as led by the Euclid Police Vehicle.

8. All units should leave appropriate interval between themselves and the next unit (3 to 5 car lengths), neither should intervals be too large ( over 5 car lengths).

9. Vehicles must proceed all the way, safely, past the end of the parade route before stopping and unloading.
