The Tank on our Lawn!

Have you wondered about the tank on our front lawn?

It is a US M103 Heavy Tank!
This 78 ton tank was produced by the U.S. Army as a means to carry the powerful 120mm M58 gun into battle against tanks like the Soviet IS-3. The heavy 120mm gun is balanced with an enormous turret bustle. Detroit Arsenal designed and built the first three prototypes and then handed the remaining prototype development and series production to Chrysler.
